Today I was given the opportunity to review the Zero Water Pitcher. Now, I need to give you a little bit of information regarding our family. We have 6 children ranging in ages from 9-25. Who all still live with us. We travel full-time doing evangelism in the states. My husband also preaches in churches and the children sing. We have an RV (travel trailer) we pull behind our bus. We are often hooked up to churches, or at campgrounds to a water spigot. Needless to say, we purchase bottled water, which becomes expensive. So, I was excited to get one of these pitchers for review. It comes with a TDS Tester to check levels of dissolved solids in your water.
First, I tested the bottled water we drink. The tester came up with 071. Then I tested the water from the tap. 256 was the result, which I thought was high, and it made me glad we do not drink that water. Next I filled the pitcher, my first reading was 018. I decided to try again. This time it was 013. Getting better. My daughter wanted to try one more time. She received a reading of 001. That was much better. Even if I never get a reading of 000, this is much better than wha
t we have been drinking. I will try again later and see what we come up with and I will add it to this post tomorrow.This is an item to share At the Fence. The only drawback? I will probably have to buy a second pitcher with a family our size!

Q. ZeroWater vs. Reverse Osmosis (RO)
A. ZeroWater® filters produce water that is a similar purity level to that produced from an RO system. Our systems also don’t waste any water and operate based on gravity. In addition, they do not need to be installed into your plumbing.
Q. ZeroWater vs. Distilled water
A. People usually say that distilled water can taste flat whereas ZeroWater® is described as crisp and refreshing. Distillation also requires electricity and takes hours to treat water.
Q. ZeroWater vs. Softeners
A. Water softening systems exchange sodium or potassium with calcium to avoid calcium buildup and allow soaps to lather better. They are not meant to improve the taste of drinking water.
Q. Pets/people need distilled for health reasons – is this the same quality?
A. Our water gives you the same quality as distilled, without the electricity or hassle of transporting the water home from the store.
Q. Does well/spring water cause shorter filter life vs. "city" water?
A. The life of the filter depends on the TDS going in, not whether your water is from a well, a spring, or a municipality. Before using your well water with our system, be sure to have it tested.
Q. Microbiological/bacteria – Reverse Osmosis vs. ZeroWater
A. Unless your RO unit is specifically designed for bacteria with something like a UV light or an ozone generator, your RO membrane will quickly be fouled with a bacteria biofilm if you have a bacteria problem. The ZeroWater systems currently sold do not have the capability to remove bacteria.
Q. Why is ZeroWater the best system?
A. There are many ways of treating water. Our filters are a 5 stage, Ion Exchange Technology that treats potable tap water better than anything else in the gravity fed filtration category.
Q. I do notice a lack of taste in our RO water, but what is it that I would be tasting in your water other than dissolved solids that were not filtered out?
A. Our water is best compared to double distilled water, minus the distilled water “flat” taste. A lot of our customers say our water has no taste. You should only be tasting H20."
